Scratch-Off Maps: We've Got the Whole World In Our Hands | H&H Graphics

There’s a whole world of special effects printing techniques out there, and at H&H we cover the landscape.

Our latest project has us going to the ends of the earth for our clients: scratch-off world maps, it seems, are the coolest new travel accessory since the neck pillow.

Travelers love them, scratching off a layer to commemorate their latest geographic conquest. There are as many themes to the “reveals” as there are places to visit. Some reveal hidden facts and images beneath the scratch-off layer, some simply expose a detailed and colorful map.

Multisensory Special Effects Gift Cards: The Power of Possibility | H&H Graphics

Is there any gift so full of promise as a small plastic card that comes in a special envelope?

Whether it's carefully hoarded for coffee or spent on a single trip to the bearer’s favorite department store, gift cards have a unique quality that no other present can offer: possibility.

But despite the intangible pleasure of a gift that recipients can define for themselves, when it comes to the actual card, consumers prefer the physical version to its digital counterpart. Special Effects "Reveals" that Power Your Packaging | H&H Graphics

Anything but Ordinary: H&H President Michelle Leissner | H&H Graphics

H&H Graphics President and CEO Michelle's Leissner's approach to business is as out-of-the-box as the projects she creates. When she took the lead at H&H in 2008, she was determined to put people over profits.

It's an approach that has served both the people and the business well, and was recently covered in an interview of Michelle by Voyage Chicago.

Anything But Ordinary

Today, the company is established as the go-to special effects printer for a wide variety of national brands looking for a little something different. From cosmetic packaging to book covers to promotional posters, mailers and scratch-off cards, Michelle inspires the work of an R&D team that consistently manages to create new and improved techniques for impossible-to-ignore promotions that are, as we like to say around here, anything but ordinary.
