Scratch-Off Cards
Every year, we print millions of scratch-off cards that are used for gaming promotions around the world. We are one of only a few printers in the US that produce lab-tested, verified, high-security tickets in addition to producing low-security scratch-offs cost-effectively. We can even help you set up your promotion with prize insurance so that you can offer a big grand prize with low risk and a modest investment.
Though called many things (scratchcards, scratch tickets, scratchers, scratchies, scratch-its, scratch games, scratch-and-wins, instant games, and instant lottery tickets), there are two main types of scratch-off cards: Instant Win and Probability.
Instant Win Cards
Instant win cards are traditional scratch-offs that just about everybody has played and represent a proven product for delivering results. Just take a coin, scratch and see if you’ve won. With some instant win promotions, every card is a winner.
The scratch off box can be any shape. We’ve done ornaments, trees, buddahs, and much more. As you can see in the image on the right, we can also do 4-color over-print on the scratch-off area. We deliver Anything but Ordinary because the only limit is our collective imagination.
Probability Cards
The excitement of probability cards is that every scratch-off card is a winner!
Just scratch off the right combination of boxes on the card and you could win a big grand prize. If you don’t win, you can scratch off each box to see what you could’ve won.
For example, one probability card we recently produced has 30 scratch-off boxes. Underneath six of those boxes is the winning symbol: $. The other 24 boxes have an “X.” The cardholder scratches off only six boxes and, if all six boxes have a $ then, the person is a winner. People love it!
How Many Winners?
The total number of winners is determined by probability, hence, the name. In our example above, the probability that someone will scratch off a “6 out of 30 game” and reveal six winning symbols is 1:593,775. Thus, the expected number of grand prize winners, if 593,775 cards are distributed, is 1.
You are not limited to running a 6 out of 30 game, but it’s the most popular. You can do 5 out of 20, 4 out of 40, etc. As the probability changes, as does the cost of prize insurance and your initial investment.
Our Experience
Marketing veterans appreciate working with a partner who’s been in the trenches. New explorers of gaming promotions enjoy having a trusted partner who will work with them and, thoroughly, explain the process.
Experience is the best teacher and the quality of our products is proof and a winning promotion is much more than a printed piece.
