So when husband-and-wife design team April and Drew Fiorelli decided to use their experience as parents and product designers to create a calendar that would help children understand time in an engaging and concrete way, they searched for a printer that could help them bring their idea to market.
Bringing the Concept of Time to Life for Children
Multisensory effects bring an element of added engagement that is well known among early childhood educators. The Fiorellis knew that incorporating tactile features like scratch-off events would make their calendar more of an experience for young children.
With two young product testers in the family, the Fiorellis had plenty of inspiration for their calendar. But execution turned out to be a bit more challenging.
