Scratch-Off Printing with 4-Color Overlay

No one thinks more about the return on investment (ROI) of special effects screen printing more than our CEO, Michelle Leissner.

Despite it being our busy season and having one of the best Mays that we've ever had, Michelle took a few minutes to share what's on her mind with us on scratch-off promotions, scented printing and scratch & sniff.

Why No One Throws Away Scratch-Off Promotions

Have you ever gotten a scratch off ticket and thrown it away without scratching it to reveal what's underneath? NO, you haven't.

Why? Because you might have won the grand prize, and how will you know if you just pitch it?

Scratch-off remains one of the most effective ways to engage an audience and, if you're not using it to promote your business/brand/product/service, you're missing out on a tremendous bang for your buck – especially since we can now apply 4-color printing on top of the scratch-off area.

A Penny for Your... Smell?!

For a very low cost you can add scent to your retail packaging, POP displays, gift cards, book jackets, greeting cards, direct mail, and other printed materials and see a significant increase in ROI because of something known as The Endowment Effect.

When you engage your target audience's sense of smell, you enhance their perception and memory of your brand and make them more likely to act.

Combine the Two for Scratch & Sniff

Remember those Scratch 'N Sniff stickers from the 80s? When applied to retail packaging especially in cosmetics and health and beauty, you can give consumers an ability to smell your product.

When we encounter a scent with a pleasant association, we reflexively breathe it in. That deep breathing lowers our heart rates and promotes a relaxed feeling. The impact is significant enough that hospitals have begun experimenting with the use of comforting smells to help reduce their patients' sensation of pain. The aromatherapy people have known this for years.
